The Author

I’m a 26-year-old computer semi-professional currently between jobs. Beyond my interest in just about anything technology related, I have a keen interest in politics. That’s made significantly easier to pursue by the fact I am currently a resident of Ottawa, Ontario.

Blind from birth, I’m told by many I have a somewhat unique perspective on the world. That tends to come through at times in my writing, whether it be on an issue currently before either Canada’s or the US’s government re: disability rights or just in my own individual commentary on other subjects of a perhaps not so political nature. In spite of my supposed disability, however, I don’t see myself as any more or less equal to anyone else. Which is partially why I’ve created this blog. Yes, sometimes I screw up. So does Canada’s Prime Minister. Or the US’s president. Or any number of average Joes. The only difference is I’m the one laughing.

I tend to be more than a little blunt for more than a few reasons, but I’ll summarize them in a single sentence. A blunt opinion tends to generate a touch more discussion than one phrased in such a way so as to be politically correct. I haven’t been politically correct since the day I learned to talk, and now that I can do so in an online forum, I don’t intend to be any more politically correct than that.

If any of this puts you off, I will eventually have a lengthy list of other websites/blogs you can visit posted up here. In the meantime, however, hopefully you can tolerate it enough to keep on reading. Of course, if not, I give you your way out.
